Question

Two questions from a newbie Road Angel user for anyone with one that may be able to help:

1. How do you access RescueLoc mode? This isn't mentioned anywhere in my user guide though is on the web-site.

2. How the dickens do you get the non-slip mat beneath the 'clips' on the base of the unit? Swearing at it appears not to help...

I've emailed blackspot.com both of the above questions, though figured that someone on here would probably have a better idea quicker.

Thanks for any help.

blue mat - throw in bin - use velco - then you can easily swop unit between cars and still hav eiut securely stuck where you want it.

rescue location - scroll thro menus - it pops up with co-ords for you to give to rescuers - assuming they can use them that is.

and another quick question....

How do you stop the RA from beeping at a particular location??

For example, when parked in the Tescos car park near to Santa Pod (an accident black spot! lol) .... the RA goes mental! How do I mute a particular warning without deleting it?

BuRR

Hold down the big (middle) button for about 1 second - this will mute it. The sound will come back on at the next warning.

Apparently, having spoken to BlackSpot Interactive (Road Angel) there are two new features in the latest firmware:

1. RescueLoc mode

2. Blackspot mute - selectably change the volume of blackspots, or mute them completely (not sure exactly how this works, and whether you can do as you request BuRR - perhaps someone with the latest version can comment)

Mine has neither, and is firmware 104. Blackspot will upgrade the firmware of older units for 20 quid + P&P.

I have been in email contact with their support people, who have been very helpful, resulting in mine going back to them on Monday for an upgrade.
