I always thought autograph hunters were saddos, but when we were at the World Snooker last week we got a few just for a laugh. After the first one, we decided to get more, and then it became addictive. Very odd!
We got John Parrot, Ken Doherty, Mark Williams, Tony Knowles, Joe Johnson, Paul Ince, Prince Naseem, Hazel Irvine & Ray Stubbs, all in 2 days. (got some pics too - see the Embassy World Snooker thread ).
When I was about 12 I tried to get Steve Davis to sign the cast on my broken wrist, but there were too many people around him, so I settled for Henry Kelly's signature instead.

I got JK Rowlings mark (doesnt look much like her name!) on my first edition of her Harry Potter during a PA in Paris of all places.
Hate her writing style so much I have never got further than the first 100 pages. Still in a few years I'll flog it and pay for a holiday!

I was fortunate enough to meet the great Pele, and he gave me a Brazillian shirt signed by the great man. Mika Hakinen (F1) sent a framed and signed photo to her for her birthday a couple of years ago addressed personally to her. I had dinner with David Coulthard last October with Jim Rosental and they signed the menu.
Also got signed Wayne Gardner photograph as well as Eddie Lawson, Ron Haslam, Christmas cards from Barry Sheene every year until he died (RiP), Anton Mang former 250 world GP champion,
Got quite a few more signed photo's in the study but can't remember them all.

Also a life-size cutout of Freddie Mercury off The Great Pretender video (somewhere in my parents' loft)
and one by Lenny Henry (in his 3 of a kind days)

I've got:
The entire 1966 world cup winning squad
2 x full Queen collections (including Freddie Mercury)
Freddie Mercury on its own
Brian May on its own
John Deacon on its own
Many Thunder albums / singles / posters / drum sticks etc. (too many to count)
Richard Burns
Nigel Mansell
Ricardo Patrese
Brian Clough
Stuart Pearce
Des Walker
and few other footballers from a while ago...
I'm working on Mohamed Ali / Ayrton Senna and Carl Fogarty..
To those who ask what is the point of autographs - you just don't get it do you - Just don't ask how much my collection is insured for..
