Hi guy's,

Not sure where to post this so i thought i would whack it here...

I am wanting to move my number plate onto my ETS splitter and was wondering what is the legal size for a number plate, i'm thinking of getting a smaller one made up but don't want to be stopped by the fuzz all the time...

Is a small Motorbike plate legal on a car...

Any help muchios appreciated..

Laters,

John.

on my integrale i had a sticker type number plate on the lowest lip of the front spoiler...it looked like a proper rally motor! ......would love one on my new wrx but i guess these are a tad illegal thesedays ?....actually it gets me thinking, dont the GB rally cars have to be road legal (as in indicators, number plates, etc) if so then these cars still have the sticker type number plates.

My car is getting a 400mm x 86 mm front this week using the motorcycle font.

Acording to the DVLA's website, this is allowed provided the car doesn't have European Type Approval and the construction of the car doesn't allow a full sized plate to be fitted.

Well, theoretically, the Jap spec Impreza doesn't have Euro TA and since I removed the front number plate holder, the construction doesn't allow for a standard plate

Cheers

I ordered my plates (which are show plates only for off road use ) from Impact Signs in Altrincham.

However, they have not yet appeared despite being ordered last thursday

Would my R32GTR be allowed a smaller plate? It is an import and allthough there is room for a full sized plate it does then obstruct the FMIC.

Well, the R32 definately doesn't have Euro TA, so assuming there isn't a number plate mounting that will take a standard plate*, then I would guess so.

*if it does have one, remove it
