Not suprised at this, seems the BNP gained in some areas, Burnley in Particular. Conservatives managed over 600 more and Lib Dems gained as well.

In some ways i an suprised that the BNP held/gained seats, not just a flash in the pan and it appears more people are perhaps using their vote in protest, Burnley was predominantly Labour before i believe???

Labour held onto Norfampton - which is a damn shame with their record of screw-ups and dodgy councillors/dealings but there you go some people never learn and i will be glad to get away from there.

Maybe Labour will treat this as a wake up call and start to listen to their voters/ex voters instead of their own spin and what theyt want to hear. - Kings new clothes and all that

Even with the gains some Conservatives want shot of IDS and what a time to announce it, typical shoot themselves in the foot-Conservative type stuff - A new leader is not a bad idea, i would not regognise IDS if i bumped into him in the street and i wonder how many other feel the same.

discuss?

Yeah i totally agree. But i dont think its just labour that are too politically correct. It seems to be the media as well. And everything seems to be biased against white english folk.

I know a bloke at his uni that tried to set up and all white football team and they refused him yet there is an asian only team. How unfair is that?...and this issue of asylum families taking money that our grandparents and parents might need e.g. my Nan and grandad could use extra cash but they dont have it, yet they paid tax and NI all their working lives to get some lame state pension that is being taken away from us (the younger generation)... anyway....drifted off topic a little there.

I think labour need to sort themselves out because once the conservatives start building themselves up as a decent opposition, they are going to take over the government very quickly

Suprabeast I am with you on this one....Labour have lasted this long only becayse there's no credible alternative in the conservative (Liberals don't count)

My bet is that people are voting BNP because they don't want to vote labour and not convinced by conservative

At the end of the day all the PC **** covers up what the majority think....too many free loaders arriving on these shores fleecing the **** out of natives of this Isle and its nothing to do with colour. People are too frigtened to say what they really feel

The mainstream parties need to deal with this NOW before the extremist BNP get a foot hold.....it didn't take the **** party in Germany long and it could happen here too

Did you see the ITV SAS drama with Ross Kemp. They had an asian and a black guy in the SAS Team. How politically correct is that?

If the Armed Forces are 99% white then let it be represented that way.

Unfortunately its the same everywhere.

Has anyone heard the gun amnesty advert on the radio with three charactors who are Brian (typically english) acmed (asian) and hassan (asian). They cant even have 3 normal people in and advert without having to make sure there token people everywhere.

And dont get me wrong, i'm not racist, i just dont see why there has to be at least one black person in every single tv show and programme.

BNP only getting votes more out of frustration since no other party takes their views about illegal immigrants seriously.

End of day this whole issue will get way out of hand within the next 5/10 years.

Time to stop voting and think about legal emigration!

its made me think like that too. Move to another country to get away from it all.

But then that would be like giving in and giving our country away to assylum seekers.

Can you imagine if every true british person left england and went elsewhere and left all of the assylum seekers in england. Nothing would get done and i can imagine england would become a third world country within no time.

What is a 'true british person'???

We're pretty much all immigrants somewhere down the line.

Give Britain back to the Romans I say!

Cool

If you have trouble defining a true English man...

Cool

In each country it is a matter of attitude and principles!
Ours is based on subscription to the tenants of the "Founding Fathers."
Only goes back a little over 300 years.
Yours go back much further.

The question is: At what point, in the past, is the English "norm" determined?

Both countries, England and America, are genetically "Invader."

At what point do the English subscribe to pure ethnicity???

What is important is why we are getting into this situation. I personally believe that the root of the problem is that our leaders are really only in the game for themselves. Years ago people used to enter politics with altruistic motives, ie to govern the country for the sake of the people. These days it is more like "Animal Farm" gradually progressing towards "1984" I think that our leaders dont give a stuff for the welfare of the rest of us, they just try to tell us enough to hope the public services will improve eventually and of course we have to give them time to be able to achieve the promises made to us. Promises which have now been shown to be empty lies. They are even showing signs of believing their own Spin now. They have already feathered their own nests with enormous increases in pensions and tax free allowances at the same time that the ordinary person is finding his pension going to the wall. They love big business as well of course-and the special pay awards to the board members. The real effort is put into finding yet another stealth tax so that they can pay for their looney policies. I also think the Tories should hang their heads in shame, initially for losing the election and since then for achieving the square root of not very much at all as an effective opposition. We seem to have entered an age of leaders who are totally selfish, and incompetent at organising anything except their own overpaid advancement in life.

Dude, I'm not into erotic novels. They just can't do justice to what was shown on animal farms. You have to download the video to believe it. But all I can say is that girl must be in pain after playing with that horse..

I'm not racist at all, but I do feel that, in this country, if you are white, male, employed, between 25-50, drive a car, smoke and drink you are stuffed!!!
