Evil Keneville stunt bike, had a base unit with a wind-up handle that attached to the bike. Used to build ramps in the hallway
circa 1979 I guess
Blimey, this picture brings back memories

Oh God yes, TCR - Total Control Racing, had one it was brilliant until the skids and tyres worn out, hard to get replacements - what a fab race set, better than Scalextric - IMHO

Tin Can Alley!!!
I loved that! I completely forgot about it.
Just got so obsessed, I found on on e-bay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...1&category=719.
It would probably get banned these days??
Steve.

Matchbox cars for me
Used to create 3 scenarios.
1) The M25 in me bedroom. (about 20' x 30')
I would build a huge dual carriage with felt-tip pens as central reservations etc, and have hundreds of cars, lorries, caravans etc all going round and round and round.
2) Race tracks
Used said pens again to build various courses and have various race catorgories, building new courses after each round of the championship.
3) Sprinting (my favorite)
I had a mega long plank of wood with dowling tapped in on either side, set at a very small angle, enough for the cars to roll down. Then I'd time each one like 1/4mile strip racing down to the bottom, and have a little notebook (PMSL @ how sad I was) with all the 'world' records LOL
Argh such memories, would it be wrong to bring back Scenario 3 @ 28yrs of age?

1. Britains "Swoppets", especially the knights
2. Britains "Gardens" sets: I had loads, but my mum gave them all away when I left home, They'd be worth a mint to collectors now.
3. Corgi model cars, especially those with jewel lights, opening boots etc.
4.Subbuteo, oh oh oh oh!:
5. A homemade "football" game played with a dice and playing cards. I kept records of four full divisions , two seasons, promotion relegation, and all scorers. How sad?
Didn't take much to amuse in those days did it?

What about Darda cars?
The ones with the wind up motors and tracks you could put them on with loop the loops and stuff. I seem to remember you could get faster motors for them too.
Were a huge craze at my prep school - we got banned from swapping them

Well Top Trumps have to be up there, as well as the Operation board game.
What about Kerplunk aswell, and the "betamax" Scalextric, TCR. How cool was that, with the overtaking !!
