Evil Keneville stunt bike, had a base unit with a wind-up handle that attached to the bike. Used to build ramps in the hallway :D

Oh God yes, TCR - Total Control Racing, had one it was brilliant until the skids and tyres worn out, hard to get replacements - what a fab race set, better than Scalextric - IMHO

Stock Up Smash Up was fab too.:D |
You b*stards, I always wanted Tin can alley AND a Big track and I didn't get either:(
I spent most of my time on mi bike but that's not really a toy is it....I'd have to say Britains farm toys, I had an awesome farm:cool: |
Matchbox cars for me
Used to create 3 scenarios. 1) The M25 in me bedroom. (about 20' x 30') I would build a huge dual carriage with felt-tip pens as central reservations etc, and have hundreds of cars, lorries, caravans etc all going round and round and round.:D 2) Race tracks Used said pens again to build various courses and have various race catorgories, building new courses after each round of the championship. :D 3) Sprinting (my favorite) I had a mega long plank of wood with dowling tapped in on either side, set at a very small angle, enough for the cars to roll down. Then I'd time each one like 1/4mile strip racing down to the bottom, and have a little notebook (PMSL @ how sad I was) with all the 'world' records LOL:D Argh such memories, would it be wrong to bring back Scenario 3 @ 28yrs of age?;) |
star wars figures and spaceships :D
when i was very young it was Britons farm tractors mike |
i had a wish list as a kid of things that i wanted but my parents would never let me have ... now im all grown up im going to buy said things .. 1. petrol driven radio controlled car , 2. air rifle , 3. radio controlled helicopter , 4, cross bow , 5. go kart

LEGO - i had tonnes of the stuff :)
Especially loved the technical stuff - cars with steering/suspension/gearboxes. Also had the space lego and the a railway set |
Action Man, and I've still got them:o:D Had loads of stuff for him, the death slide was a favourite and the helicopter. Loads of us used to invade the local sandpit and have wars etc, god them were the days:D
Also had the Evel Kinevel bike and the dragster, loved the Britons stuff as well especially the WW2 soldiers and tanks. CRAFThttp://smilies.networkessence.net/s/otn/wink/thumb.gif |
Technical lego, and my train set :) Then went into computers, and spent too much time playing on the Spectrum :)
I'm sure that's why I ended up in IT  |
i had a big track and trailer, had them for my 10th birthday, bought in florida whilst on holiday, different colour to the british ones, cant remember if mine was white or grey ?
mark |
Any kind of scale models, Transformers, Thundercats :D
Optimus Prime rules  |
1. Britains "Swoppets", especially the knights
2. Britains "Gardens" sets: I had loads, but my mum gave them all away when I left home, They'd be worth a mint to collectors now. 3. Corgi model cars, especially those with jewel lights, opening boots etc. 4.Subbuteo, oh oh oh oh!:D: 5. A homemade "football" game played with a dice and playing cards. I kept records of four full divisions , two seasons, promotion relegation, and all scorers. How sad? Didn't take much to amuse in those days did it? Alcazar |
Anyone remember Stop Boris ? You had an infra-red gun and had to shoot the moving big spider before he got to you or something :)
|
Big loader you heathens!!!!
And Transformers as well. I had Metroplex (the one that turned into a city) and its still up in the loft. Apparently its quite rare these days. astraboy. |
What about Darda cars?
The ones with the wind up motors and tracks you could put them on with loop the loops and stuff. I seem to remember you could get faster motors for them too. Were a huge craze at my prep school - we got banned from swapping them :) Robin |
Well Top Trumps have to be up there, as well as the Operation board game.
What about Kerplunk aswell, and the "betamax" Scalextric, TCR. How cool was that, with the overtaking !! Dave |
