Not really when you are zapped with a laser, once your Road Angel (or any other device) beeps it is normally too late, or you may be lucky and brake in time.
Only protection for those is to have a diffuser as well.

As far as i know, the laser only takes about 10th second to get a reading
By the time its pointing at you its too late
If you are following another car you might get lucky as some of
the laser gets defracted if its pointing at the car ahead and you may pick that up and give you a few seconds.
There is a web site called speedtrapbible.co.uk i think
Hope that helps

Have got diffusers fitted to the front of my MY01 and did a 'Field test' using a friend who had access to a brand new laser gun as used by various offical bodies and it worked perfectly every time completely blocking the gun from obtaining a reading.V impressed.

Taken from an article on UKSpeedTraps - written by the owner of the site on a visit to Aylesbury Police Station:
"So what next, well I brought with me some of the free stuff sent to me by manufactures of defensive equipment, in this case a Laser Jammer, $480 worth of jammer 400mtrs to 10mtrs cover they say. With a simple two minute installation.
We all wanted to see if it worked. We fitted it to our test car, as per the instructions supplied and off we went, four runs down the road later and I was sure glad I never bought it.
Graham [traffic cop] just smiled and said we have not seen anything that works yet. He then went to tell me a story about a driver with a £500 Detector, Radar and Laser. He complained when he was stopped that it never went off, and to make matters worse, when they pointed the Laser gun at it with only a few inches between the units it still never went off"
Bear in mind UKSpeedTraps has no axe to grind over this... Might make you think before spending the money.
