Just had to remove a dead cat from the road That's the second one in about a year (NO I DIDNT HIT IT!!!) No collar etc.
Just got me thinking, i put it on the grass under a signpost - but should i have taken it away and buried it? It could rest in peace properly then - but on the other hand its owner may go out and find it and if i'd taken it away they'd never be able to lay it to rest...
hmm bed time i reckon...

Take it to the nearest vet. That's what one kind person did to my girlfriends cat which was also a present from me...
I'm glad they did as one of the first things her mother thought to do after it didn't come home for a day was to call the vet. Slightly different case in that her cat was severely injured (and had to be put to sleep) rather than being killed instantly but still the best thing to do in my opinion.
Good on you for taking the initiative though, most would just have left it.

I dont like the thought of some1 looking for their loved cat and find it "mushed" by traffic. As it happened it didn't even (in the dark) seem to have a mark or anything..
