What is 40 thou in mm, reason for asking trying to adjust spark plug gap on a daewoo.

inches x 25.4 = mm

so is it 0.1016mm?

0.7mm is 28thou.

Brickboy is right, 40 thou is 1/25th of an inch. There are 25.4mm in an inch.

lads - I think its 1.016 mm, not .1016.

(0.1016 cm would be correct)

No point in doing it to the nearest thou though (try saying that pished ) you need to get it spot on!!!
