Question

I have a number plate on retention, but I want to transfer it my car, but I'm not sure how.

The retention certificate and the website were of no use!

Is there anything I should do, other call up my local DVLA office?

Thanks
Andy

Andy, go to your local DVLA office with the retention certificate, your V5, insurance and current Road Tax disc.

Stand in a queue for what seems like eternity, and then give them all the details, stating that you what the plate from the retention cert to go onto the car shown on the V5.

Thats all i did

Thanks for that Steven!

Sounds simple enough! Looks like I need to take a half day!

I think you might need your MOT certficate as well Andy, if your car needs one of course.
