If you have ever ridden a horse you would know you cant make them do what you want they have to be happy doing it, why do you think they jump..............FOOL

the beast suggests if you were a horse you would enjoy jumping over fences that there is a good chance of falling at and ending up with a bullit in the head.
most people who enjoy racing cant stand the gn as it makes a mockery out of their sport
the gn is shame for the once a year armchair gamblers im not against racing and certainly not a veggy tree hugger type
but this race is really out dated
probably like the beast himself.

hi there im going with bunny boiler...lol
even with a whip you cant make a horse do something it don't want to or spurs...I know this from experience!! or maybe I just get really stubborn horses!!
the race isnt as barbaric as it used to be

Well, I've got Youllneverwalkalone ante post at 20's and Blowing Wind EW at 66/1 so of course they're gonna do well.
I like the idea of the group betting too. (Where a group of normally 5 horses need to complete the course - anything from 18's to 66/1). Worth a small punt IMHO.
Fingers crossed I'm as lucky as I was during the Cheltenham Festival.

Why is it that they always shoot the horses with broken legs?
Is it the cost of fixing a broken horse that will never earn money again, or are they just unfixable?

A broken leg in a horse is very difficult to fix, and yes, also expensive. The horse cannot put any weight on it and so has to be suspended by slings in its stable for a long time.
