Hi Guys
I'm thinking of buying a GPS unit, maybe either the Road Angel or Road Pilot. I'd appreciate any feedback from anyone who has one of these.
Regards
Nick

there was/is GTiR group buy on these (road angel) a while back which gives prices/site on goodies going cheap & looking at it again u may still be in luck as cut off is the 5th of April!
I bought 1 & have had no problem with it top bit of kit! Black spots can b a tad annoying but none the less useful & if undesired they can be deleted
Cant knock it
Si
(edited to add its road angel im on about)

had a Road Pilot when it was first released and had nothing but trouble from it. That was a good few months ago now though so maybe they've fixed the many bugs it had.
I've now got a Snooper 6R Neo and it's been absolutely faultless and I'd deffo recommend it

Thanks
What sort of problems were you having with the Road Pilot? I haven't seen the Snooper version, I'll check it out.
Any tips on what to look out for? I liked the Road Pilot because of the USB connection & some other stuff like touch screen, average speed etc. The Road Angel did well in the Evo test & you can get a laser add-on for it. The Road Pilot only has a Radar add-on.

Recently purchased a Road Angel and have had completely trouble free operation.
Nice and compact unit, good GPS data for camera sites, including known 'mobile' locations as well as accident 'hotspots'.
Also Like the fact I can output NMEA data to my iPAQ for navigation.
Would easily recommend it.
