seriously - this 'sudden something respiratory syndrome' that's broken out in China / Hongkong.
There's several staff members coming back from the Hong Kong Rugby 7's (won by England, but that's beside the point) and I will be sharing office accomodation with them.
Do I ......
put the whole thing (SARS) down to a media beat-up and ignore it
or
stay away from work until the 10 day incubation period is up
or
go to work and wear a mask
or
ask for the air conditioning to be turned off to minimise potential spread
or
ask the Chief Executive to get the 4 returning staff members to stay away from work until the incubation period is complete ?
Answers (on a postcard please)
- option 1 is probably the apathetic way out.

My sister has found out a lot about this as she's going to Hong Kong soon.
Basically, the advice AT THE MOMENT (situation may change) is unless you're in direct contact with known risk areas (hospitals etc) then the risk is quite small.
Might be worth searching news.bbc.co.uk for latest updates, I reckon the best suggestion is to ask for the returning people to stay away from work for 7-10 days.

.. agreed, the folk should stay away.
Somehow think it's irresponsible going in the first place, but hey ... they save up for the trip over the course of a year, book airplane tickets, hotel tickets, match tickets ..... and what you can't see can't hurt you; not like there's missiles or friendly fire or anything like that ....
... hope I'm still as understanding in a couple of weeks time.

Keep the folks at home IMO
