Convex Mirrors
#3
In the US these are easily found in stores, available in several sizes. I always have them on my cars.
They are a great help; you can see a vehicle next to you when in traffic. They are also very useful for backing into a parking spot because you can see the pavement along each side of the car.
On my Outback, I have larger ones that take in more view. I can actually see a bit of each rear tire from my driver's seat, which allows me to place the car very precisely when backing.
Some people stick one onto the inside mirror, too, which gives a wide-angle view of the passengers, also over their shoulders through all the windows. That can help you track another vehicle moving around behind you, also excellent for spotting a passing pedestrian before you back.
I have one mounted on the top corner of this computer's monitor in my cubicle at work. It allows me to track people passing by behind me.
