Hi folks
Does anyone know whether there is such a thing as removable in car mount for a video camera, and if so, where I can get one from? I'm thinking it might be cool to record myself when drving around the track.....
Cheers,
Iain

I use a Manfrotto suction mount with a ball joint adapter on the end to mount the camera. I have used the mount on the outside of a car and they are very strong. The suction cup is is about £40 and the ball joint is £20. This is my job mounting cameras on cars and i have had no problem with them.

http://www.b-hague.co.uk/ seems to be the best place to go, but i modified a Halfords suction phone holder to take a bullet camera from http://www.rfconcepts.co.uk/ which does a good job n'all.
Also, with a bullet camera you can have views from your front/rear grill or whereever - just plug the output into your camcorder AV/In!

Your camcorder needs to be capable of acting as a video recorder though (i.e. video in needed)
Cheers,
Ian.
