What are the odds?
#1
Having recently had my switch card cloned and abused this morning I received my new pin number throught the post.
I always change the pin as soon as I get it, so what are the chances that when I open the envelope the number my bank has issued me is the exact same number that I was planning to change it to?
Spooky!!

Er, you actually have four digits from 0-9 so the chances are 1/(10*10*10*10), i.e. 1 in 10,000.
But actually it's better than that as there are some combinations they won't issue:
1111, 2222 and their ilk
1234, 2345 and their ilk
2468, 3579 and their ilk
