OK I want to burn .cda tracks to CD-R. I've previously done MP3 to CD using Earjam.
However, my attempts to burn last night from .cda gave me an error of something along the lines of "unable to convert xyz.cda to C:/Windows/Temp/xyz.RAW.
Pressing Retry did the same thing, skipping tracks they all got the same so Cancel then made Earjam perform an illegal operation.
My attempt to "create audio CD" using Winon CD failed with WInon CD performing an illegal operation.
Ideas anyone?
I have 200 MB free on the C drive, is that the problem.

No idea if it's the problem, but when burning CDs, you should have that space on your HDD plus the amount of RAM*1.5 for windows to work in, so I'd recommend having nearly a gig in spare HDD space as a guideline.

Should be fine burning .cda files to a CD-R, however, the file format is not an audio file, and so won't be playable.
So, to be less opaque
.cda files are a representation of a RedBook CD audio track. All they contain is a file header and some track length information. There is no music data in the file.
You need to actually grab the audio data from the CD using some form of Audio Extraction. Use any grabber (Windows MediaPlayer 7 and above has one free or search

Bingo!
I got a new ripper for CD DA from tucows and the .wav files make cd a treat.
Dunno what the prob with earhjam is, it's supposed to do all that, hence my original question.
Anyway all sorted, oh and it's not a question of size, I have another disk of 30Gb.
Thanks to you both for help.
