OUCH...my jaw just dropped...WRC2001 on PSX2
#1
Just been watching the rolling demo of WRC2001 which arrived this morning with Official PSX2 mag. It looks amazing!! Hope it plays as good as it looks. Thought it was due out before Christmas, but according to the brief article its now March 2002.
At least WipeOut Fusion should hit the shops before Crimbo.
Was surprised there was no mention or discussion in the mag related to the sudden price cut of the PSX2 by Sony; perhaps it missed the printing deadline.
Have I missed any threads on the BBS relating to the price cut? I presume I'm not the only one who lost 70 quid, bought my GT3 pack with memory card for £318 in early August. I spent ages looking round for the best deal, not knowing this HUGE drop in price was around the corner. Everything comes to he who waits I suppose.

Yep, I bought my PSX2 just before the price cut aswell. Isn't hindsight a wonderful thing?
I've also had WRC2001 on order from special reserve, to be posted as soon as it is officially released. My good friend Geezer has spoken to Evolution Studios (I think thats right), and they say a probable release date will now be 30th November.
I haven't seen this rolling demo though. A trip to the local newsagents is in order methinks.

Played an early demo of WRC2001 at the Cyprus Rally this Summer (first overseas WRC event I've been to, great fun, I'd recommend it if they hang on to the event in 2002!). Cars felt a bit floaty and lacked the weight and feel of GT3 or CMR2. They've had a long time to sort it since then though.
Bought the mag today too with the DVD but I'm stuck in a Plymouth hotel room for the night. Top Gear and minibar methinks!
