If it's the SLX long-life for VW506.01 variable service intervals, in Halfords it's £12 per litre, or £40 for a 4-litre pack IIRC.

I haven't tried myself but a while ago, there were posts in "Drivetrain" about ordering Castrol RS 10-60 direct from Castrol, it was cheaper than Halfords and delivery was free.

The number is 01954 231668, might be worth a try.
