I flew out to USA (Columbia in St Louis) last monday.
Flew from Gatwick, was fine, security was no hassle, little (5 - 10) min wait but all ok.
Once you are in the USA it takes a little time to clear immigration, but nothing out of the ordinary.
not much different to my trip to us about 4 years ago.

The opposite of Scooby antics I think i.e. Cadillac antics (if thats possible?!)
Gonna drive from SF to Vegas and Grand Canyon probably.
Good to hear it's all plain sailing tho....
That form they make you fill in on the plane always cracks me up - "Are you a terrorist" - "No" - well that's ok then.....

yeah, that form is mad!!!
went to a club the other night, set off the metal dectors, the dude asked "you carrying any concealed weapons!"
was in bad mood so was going to say "yeah, got a klashnikov down my pants" but thought better of it
was in bad mood because I got asked for ID at a bar! ok i know u gotta be 21 but I'm 27 for chrissakes! jeez. was with some buddies so they kicked up a fuss and let me in. I said that I'm british and we don't carry photo id, guy was not buying it though, *****! can kinda sympathise as if I wss underage and they got busted the bar would have it's *** kicked!
as for the caddy thing, try asking on i-club, might be some like minded chaps on there.
