Just been talking to a friend of mine who is a teacher and he said he has had a ticking off from his head master for using the term "brain storming" as it is not politically correct 
The reason for this is it may offend people that have epilepsy!
Also a black/white board is now a rub & scrub board.
Anyone else think its gone too far???

It has a bit ... will the term "see what I mean" be outlawed for causing offense to the partially-sighted?
There are obvious points where expressions are outdated / potentially offensive, but the thing about brainstorming is all a bit Millie Tant ...

The 3 little piggy story was not from any newspaper. Typical of scoobynetters these days to start accusing people of crap they obviously know nothing about! If it was a made up story how come the Head Teacher was on the news trying to explain their actions????

B2Z - I wasn't aiming at anyone in particular. It's true that there are examples of ridiculous meddling (banning red pens etc) and I don't agree with it at all. I'm sure the three little piggies story is true. All I'm saying is these things tend to get hyped up and blown out of all proprtion by the press. Is it really as big a problem as people make out? And the refugee/illegal immigrant stuff is not really related to this issue. PC is about the 'fascistic' desire to control use of language, and I don't support it. However, as I said in an earlier post, I do think that the whole PC thing started out for legitimate reasons, it just went too far. Ok?

OK. Yeah I definately agree it started out with good intentions, just a shame it has had to be taken to such an extreme and ruin what could have been a positive influence on society. To me now the polictical correctness bunch are a total waste of space and a joke.

INHO political correctness is making this country so much worse. Who started this nonsense??? Obviously our law makers are so out of touch with what society thinks. In my book black is black and white is white. Simple as that.

If someone came into this country and demanded that we all eat curry as that is what they eat, the vast majority would tell them to get lost.
