When it's done on a child it will not be done under a general anaesthetic -- which means it will hurt like f*ck. Any procedure like this carries a risk of damage / mutilation. Leave the poor lad alone!

thing is i am not really in favour of it but the missus is so how do you come to agreement only way i can see is draw up a list of pros and cons if more pros do it if more cons dont

Not true. It's never bothered me. As long as they keep themselves clean, I don't mind.

i was done but i've not had my litlle un done...yes it is cleaner...no there's no reduction in feeling, you can still have a quicky...and no it don't look weird IMO....it's up to my little un when he gets older or if it needs doing.
