What does "don't teach your grandmother to suck eggs" mean?

It means trying to tell someone who knows better than you how to do something..
A Grandma (who has no teeth) is most likely an expert at sucking eggs.. so who are you to tell her how it's done.
A bit like telling SdB how to drive sideways.
