Hello,

I am looking for web content management products, with a view to geting my company to become a reseller.

In the past in other roles I have evaluated Vignette, ATG Dynamo, Open Market (Borad vision were too busy to see me!). I Went for ATG then, but the above products are top of the market and I want to offer something more "accessible" say £20-£50k.


We are already a xerox docushare reseller for Document Mgt.

Any ideas ?

We employed Documentum to do the job, it also appears to be the favoured product across industries now.

Don't touch Mediasurface, you'll have more trouble than anything else. Their Perl is also broken, I speak from experience. StoryServer is common amongst media companies .

Mercury Interactive (probably one of the most popular sources of automated testing tools etc) has a product called Astra site manager that might be what your after, try here :-

Stay away from Vignette, it sucks *** big time (in my opinion only).

Spectra is very good, although had bad press a while back, but mostly because people did not set it up properly! It's now Macromedia Spectra and one of my colleagues is a bit of an expert with it and did a very compelling demo for me. I have also been reccomended Paperthin -
