Hi everyone,

A friend is going round the world and wants some good travel insurance. Must include hazardous pursuits and travel to South America. Cover for one year.

Any help much appreciated.

I use Harrisson Beaumont, they seem to do the stuff for me and cover Gliding, Hang Gliding, Diving and such stuff worldwide for a reasonable £110 pa.

I've used Amex before, they were good.

One important thing to check - make sure that the 'year' means a trip of up to the year, not unlimited trips not exceeding 2-3 weeks within a year, like some policies do.

I'd say to specifically say it's for a round the world jaunt.
