Been toying with the idea of getting one of these Snooper S6-R Neo detectors and had more or less made up my mind to get one (thanks to the group buy on here). But as I loaded up Networx Automotive web site I now see that the Road Angel come with a laser detector too for £399. I like the neatness of the RA (built in antenna etc) but I do like the extra information that the Snooper gives you (road names - speed limit alert).
Also I know the RA is well established whereas the Snooper is new. I've been stung once when I ordered the all singing and dancing Road Pilot by Morpheous and ended up being a beta tester for them for 3 weeks trying to get the thing to work.
Has anyone had experience of both units?

Snooper won't give you road names mate, It does have a compass though.
There are supply issues with the snooper AFAIK, so that may be an issue if you are in a hurry.
I won't say anymore about how good the snooper is as I raved enough lately - It must be someone elses turn.

Snooper is an established name, but the NeoR is a new product. Morpheous is a really repected name in this business but their Road Pilot (on release I hassen to add, it probably works fine now) was a buggy piece of poo! hence why I don't really want to go down that road again if you pardon the pun.

I went for the RA purely because of it's simplicity. Just plug it in and off you go, no external aerials or cluttered display, just enough info to warn you of cameras/blackspots. If you add the radar/laser option then you have a complete package. I have not seen the Snooper in action so can't comment on it's performance.

That's what's drawing me to the RA, it's simplicity. The Road Pilot displayed a lot of information (when it worked) but when it comes down to it, you don't need any of it.
