Wanted. Program to re-connect parallel port without re-booting PC

Not sure this will work, but it does with most devices...
Go to the device manager, select the device and then click properties.
Disable the device and apply change, then re-enable it. Give it a go and post the results....

Yes, that's it exactly...

It's not listed anywhere in the device list under System.
Surely it can not be that hard...? After all, when you install the backup software it connects to the drive straight away without re-booting first.

OK Guys, Sorted!!!
The device was hidden originally so I used View > Show hidden devices.
Then, selected the Iomega Parellel port device, selected [disable] (it then said I needed to reboot my PC , but then selected [enable] and hey presto, zip drive is there!!
