Does anyone own one of the above

As far as I can see the only difference between the two is one has 4 optical outputs rather than 3!!

Are they any good? ive been looking for about 6 months now and the 630 stood out for me in the £350-400 price range, the 530 is £260 at richer sounds and has everything bar that extra output.



Its time to get rid of the 8 yr old sony which has no DTS/5.1/6.1/Pro logic or prologic II, it only had dolby surround , will I notice a MASSIVE difference?? as old and featureless as it is the Sony doesnt do a bad job. I know the centre and rear Sony speakers I have are pony and theyll be replaced in time with Missions to complement the fronts.

I have a Denon but did consider Yamaha..it was only the styling that put me off.Pro-logic 11 is very good,you'll notice the difference on normal tv..

I have the 630, buy it, its fantastic Dolby ProLogic II is great for the VDC's and SVCD's, while the DTS will blow you away.

If you play it near full volume, and provided your speakers can take it, your ears will be ringing its that load!(Total paid was £780 for the unit with speakers, the unit on its own been £350)
