Hello,

The White sports car driven by the female agent is rather nice. I think it is a Honda S200 but can anyone confirm this.

Also did they sell them in the UK?

It looks a nice car and I may want a weekend toy. Any idea what price a good one goes for?

 

OK so I have used the net to find out and now I am sad :-(

Its a Toyota 2000GT but they only made 3 Convertables (so I guess they cost a bit now!)

I remember reading something years ago about this particular car...along the lines that the car in the film actually began life as a hardtop, but it was chopped specially for the film. Can anyone confirm that?

From the fact that there are only 3 in the world I would say YES it was chopped.

Shame coz I want one.

The Toyota 2000 GT is unique among Bond cars in that it remains the only one to date that 007 does not drive......at least that's what my 'authorised guide' says It also says that only two were made, one of which is is in Toyota's Japanese museum. It was also produced as a Corgi toy, with 007 firing at the villains out the back. I think it also had rocket launchers in the boot!
