Does anyone on this forum have any experience of a BOSE Wave Radio? I am looking for a CD player with excellent sound but it must also be compact and discreet, hence my interest in one.
Are they really as good as claimed?

Many thanks in advance.

I have used BOSE stuff a bit (albeit professional sound gear). At the end of the say there is a saying that goes something like "its got no highs, its got no lows, it must be Bose".

I wouldnt touch Bose personally.

Unhappy

I think they are meant to be pretty disappointing soundwise for the money they cost.

I think Bose are expensive for the sound you get.

Ive got the little bed side CD/radio. Bought it VERY CHEAP and it sounds ok in the bedroom . But a Denon mini system/unit like my DM3 walks all over it.

We have one in our villa in Portugal. Despite the fact that it's been showered with pool water on many an occasion it still provides good sound quality BUT I'm of the opinion that there's bet options out there for the same or less ££

If I were you I'd buy a hi-fi magazine and see if there's anything in there that takes your fancy.

If you definitely want the Wave then I'd contact the Bose outlet store at Cheshire Oaks (in Ellesmere Port) where they sell them at a discount.

Andy.

There is a Bose factory outlet at the Bicester Shopping Village (presuably not too far from you?).

They sell factory re-boxed units (from when people send 'em back during the trial period) - plus you get a chance to see them close up!!!

Even so, they are still expensive.

My mum has got one in the kitchen and it sounds very good. All down to taste and preference at the end of the day
