I've heard 27th July but as with all granturismo games it will probaly be put back a month or two on the 26th july. Apparently they are having trouble converting it from NTSC to PAL

No, Sony never put out a date - it was always speculation in the past.

20th July is the official date from Sony. They've taken long enough to confirm it!

US Release is July 10th

Would you be interested in a Mplayer game of Operation Flashpiont sometime??

 

Looks like I'll only be able to hold off buying a PS2 for another 3 weeks then.

Dunno where its going to go - I've run out of inputs on the Yammy A1: PS1 (I guess this can go, may have to see about a screen for the car...!), Dreamcast, N64 plus just go a GB Advance

 

A scart switch box, that's what I am planning, not much use if you are using SVHS inputs mind you

 

BlowDog, did you manage to get Operation Flashpoint ? Its a cracking game!

Just got flashpoint in the office today, poor old PC is struggling a bit at the moment, P3 733 192mb 16mb radeon ddr. Will have to see about playing around with the settings, but looks to be quite good

You heard about the add-ons their doing ? Shortly they'll release an update adding new vehicles and weapons.

And how are you gonna 'run me over' when I'm in my Huey Cobra above with my finger on the missle button ?

 

If you wanna get it earlier, try looking on Open (if, of course, you have Sky digital).

My mate bought a game from one of the game sites on Open. It arrived about a week or two before it came out on general release. Think it was Final Fantasy, something.

According the lastest copy of Offical PS2 Mag, its the 27 July.

Oh yeah, and they have an even more amazing rolling demo of the game on the PS2 disc that comes with the mag

DazV - yes mate, that was me, just bad timing due to the economic situation in the IT industry in the UK round April time... but sorted now, I've had a lovely two months off (April/May), didnt look for a job for the first month, but been working for 4 weeks now at an Investment Bank, and its going really well thanks

Nice car - lovely colour. Sadly my MY99 is going shortly. Can't even bring myself to say what I'm getting instead, so I'll sidestep that.

Video Games - well, Operation Flashpoint (PC) has me hooked at the moment - so immersive. Plus it came free with Insane (a nice little driving game)

As for the PS2, I got F1 2001 (sony) which I think gives a good game. I've had Tokyo Highway Battle for a while and its good for a laugh until GT3 comes out later in July.
