I have got one of these (protech's), but with the 206 body.
It was first car i got, 50 mph ish, handles mint. on the right surface you can pull off full on sexy powerslides - very impressive.also with these cars they have independent front and rear brakes - dead easy to set up, I bias mine to the rear so If I get in troble its a doddle to spin it away from said kerb/wall/spectator.
Mine will be getting an additional engine soon and some longer gearing - should be fun

I see Associated are still knocking out RC10's I had one about 8 years ago. Raced it weekly at a local club for about 2 years until I got my driving licence then I sold it to pay for some alloy wheels. Surprisingly expensive hobby came home most weekends with broken bits good job the old man was paying for it (Thanks Dad), the total must have come to £1500 with motors, batteries, chargers, speed controllers, wheels, tyres, ect, ect.

I'm thinking about getting one of these
http://www.rc-car-warehouse.com/view...id=3495#Bundle
Anyone know if they are any good for off road as its only 2 wheel drive.
I already have a Thunder Tiger TS4-N Scooby but trying to find large flat areas to run a road car as quick as it is is a real pain. Is it possible to convert a TS4-N to off road?

bravo,
a couple of lads I race/bash with have these and they are fcukin animalistic - unfeasibly quick.I have never seen one off-road, but on the old tarmac they pull mega wheelies like theres no tommorow, the lads put lead in the front to try and keep it down.
i have got the on-road version of the XTR, the fusion, the engines are mint - drill start, and only cost a ton to replace if things go drasitcly wrong.
otherwise, look at http://www.gmmodels.co.uk/Protech/Pa...aser_4_rs.html,
not as quick or cheap as the XTR but 4WD, and if anything like the on-road version they are a piece of p1ss to drive well.

I have seen those savage trucks for £380 at http://www.kevsracing.sageweb.co.uk/savage.htm but you still saved a wopping hundred quid off the price, I'm very tempted now...

Cheers mj, I had seen that Phaser one and was considering that one and and one other one out of the 4 wheel drive models. The XTR looks mental but I need to find out if it really is a good off roader.
Would love to convert the TS4-N to off road but not sure its possible

bravo,
naaah,
save it for for the car parks and get the off roader, btw, the xtr is an off roader.
tim,
if you have somewhere to take it get the fusion. allow another £30 on the price for some new tyres, as the ones that come with it are not worth a carrot, and leave the rims at 50+ due to centrifugal forces, . you need to buy pre glued tryes complete with rims - medial pro's.
also if you have no crdless drill you will need to allow for this aswell.

**************,
How's the hunt job going?
I have a TS4 and also have problems finding flat smooth places
The only down side to the Nitro Truck 21 XTR 3E is its power. It wheelies in every gear apparently, which means it does take a lot of getting used to and is a right ******* to keep hold of.

mj yeah I think I will have to keep hold of it, wont get enough for it 2nd hand either. MMMM credit card time I know it says its an off roader but becos its only 2wd I wondered how good it actually is off road.
Hi Darren, I'm still looking for a job m8. Whats the new guy like you have there? Still a chance I will get a job in my old place as I wrote them a little letter and am currently still employed by them altho still at home.
Its a real pain finding the space, I had the car about 15 months now and only used it about 5 times hence wanting an off road one so I can use it in the park with my son Will have to watch out for the dog turds tho!!!
