Ok changing the subject completely..... Hot Stuff is currently my most favorite driving track...I even do the arm movements while chugging along... being basically lasy.... and keep forgetting to look it up.... what is the name of the girl group that did it before it was featured in Full Monty????

More talent than Donna Summer...?????

Now you are being silly.

Were you around in the 70's when Donna and Giorgio were in their heyday? Unless you were, you can't comprehend the impact they had. Pink is talented, yes, but has she really extended the boundaries? Don't think so.

at risk of compromising myself..... yes I was around in the 70s I think.... they followed the 60s.... I think... yes they did...

and yes Donna Summer was good in her day... as was Whitney Houston and Lionel Richie etc etc....

Pink's music is different and she is very talented her music is very reminisent of some of the old R & B (ie track on her CD called Misery) absolutely brilliant.

When you compare her to the likes of Justin Timberlake (what a noise he makes he give me a headache) Britney Spears (teeny bopper), Darius (came saw conquered and will disappear), and that awful Daniel Beddingfield and all those other mass produced noises that come out the radio these days.....I think she is a very talented writer...

and I don't like Coldplay, or Eminem or Puff Daddy or Madonna... and particularly I don't like Killie (wiggle her bum) Minoge ... but I do like Westlife... and Ronan Keating

Music rant over as I am no expert or porport to be just like what I like.

Ah, so what you mean is Pink is talented compared to the rest of the dross that's around at the moment?! Not much contest really...

Comparing Pink with Donna Summer is not comparing like with like, IMO.

Seriously, Black Cat, your credentials as a music critic have taken a battering, I'd quit now before you mention Celine Dion.

I like Def Leppard.... Bon Jovi....
"I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse aaaah raahhhd"

Has to be up there as one of the truly appalling hits of all time. Though the studio wizardry of Bananarama run it close.

She may very well be, but Linda Perry (the main songwriter on Mizzundaztood, despite the co-writer credits) is in an entirely different league. She wrote/sang "What's Going On" by 4 Non Blondes, and Pink's album borrows heavily (to put it kindly) from that AOR genre.

Does nobody around here like decent music? Scooter? The Tweenies? Bob the Builder?

I actually got dragged by my (now ex-) girlfriend to a Bon Jovi concert, I wasn't happy, until Van Halen came on as the support act, that was

Classics? Frankly, unless you own a copy a of "All I want for Christmas is a Dukla Prague away kit" or "The ******* son of Dean Friedman" by Half Man Half Biscuit, I'm not talking to any of you.

Bros

PS Though I'd have to say that Springsteen's still got it.

PPS Am I the only Springsteen fan to NOT like BITUSA?

TelBoy,

Yes, you're prize is one of us coming round and cleaning all the crap out of your record collection.

Alternatively, next time you get one of them charity bags round...

I managed to find in my vinyl collection:

Brown Sauce, Hello (Theme from Swap Shop)
Bobby Brown, My Perogitive (what was I thinking?)
Julian Lennon, Stick Around (who? what?)
The Bangles, Hazy Shade of Winter (featuring Joan Jett)
And a signed photo of Rick Astley.

Now thats cool!
