Question

Does anyone know of a model history or FAQ (much like the SIDC one) for the Pug 205 GTI?

I'm very interested to find out what changes Peugeot made throughout the life of the 205 GTI. I know a CAT become standard fit towards the end of it's life but more information would be very useful.

I had a look at a Haynes manual but it didn't seem to cover 'version' history.

TIA.

Cheers,

Chris.

Cheers Neil - that's a good start.

Anyone else with any links?

Cheers,

Chris.

October 1992 was when the CAT was introduced. Took the power from 130bhp to 122bhp.

Thumbs up

Top stuff guys.

Many thanks for your help.

Found quite a few discussions on UL/SUL/LRP for the 205 GTI. General consensus seems to be you don't need the lead element but need a high RON level to stop pinking, so it's SUL or UL with booster.

Cheers,

Chris.

Yep - you need the high octane really - or get the engine detuned and suffer the performance loss.
