Kittens
I want to get a kitten, and have no idea where to start, no comments about checking rivers and roads for bin bags please.
Does anyone know anyone round stevenage or herts that have kittens for sale??
Thanks

Wood Green Animal Shelter is quite close to there and there is also an RSPCA Adoption Centre in or around Herts, I belive.
Failing that, your local vet will be able to assist, as they usually have notices up offering homes. Sometimes local papers also have adverts in.
Pound Kitten Rescue
Cambridge Rescue Home
UK Animal Rescuers
Rescue in Hertfordshire
Hope these help...

Columbia300man, I am also from Stevenage and my wife works in the Vets in Stevenage. They are often looking to rehome kittens aswell as adult cats. There is no cost as long as they go to a good home.
Mail me off line of you want to talk about it in more detail.

Also check out The Blue Cross - we got ours from there, and they're wonderful pets.
Bear in mind that kittens need regular feeding and a lot of attention, so they're not really an option if you're out at work all day. A 1-2 year old cat will still be young and playful, but is less demanding and more likely to be house trained.

Def. get one from the rescue centres - blue cross, RSPCA and Cats Protection as previously mentioned are expecially good. Don't discount little rescue centres in your local area, we got 2 of ours from a little one, they were very grateful
Oh, and even a decent size donation is cheaper than buying one

Also - def. follow Mice's advice, 2 will keep each other happy and save you a bit of work
Kittens need *alot* of attention at first, our rescue one's have been 2 are 3years old, 2 are 9 and one's 10 - they've been no trouble at all
