So is anyone gonna chance driving anywhere today as our beloved A14 and M11 are closed?

I needed to go to Royston but will now be staying @ home!

I think it is starting to clear but I wouldn't chance it.

Traffic at 2pm on 31/01/03
M11: Closed southbound between junctions 8 and 9. Traffic is being directed up the southbound carriageway.

A14: Open eastbound between Huntingdon and Quy but is difficult in places. The road is gridlocked westbound between the A11 and Girton, but open between Girton and Huntingdon.

A428: Open eastbound but closed westbound between Madingley and Hardwick.

A505: Open between Duxford and Royston but heavily congested with broken down and abandoned vehicles.

Elsewhere, many roads are difficult, with black ice and slush creating difficult driving conditions.

Thanks Mark. I popped down my local shops and surprise surprise, no bread, no eggs, no milk! Im stuck here in Cambridge with nothing to do and my other halfs gonna be working nights! Bloody typical!

I'm not sure if I should take a chance and try to make a move tomorrow and get home!
