Blimey, rang to order a £25 Phillips Savvy mobile today to be informed that the price had gone up to £70
Flippin Heck! I thought The previous price included £5 of calls. Heard the price was going up this is ridiculous

Cool

From the end of April all PAYG phones went up drmatically in price. They want to get us all onto phone contracts - more money for them.

I think that if you hunt around you can still find some at ok prices.

There must be somebody on here who can get an old phone from there office. Where I used to work the phones were upgraded every couple of years and the old ones were just stuck in a cupboard. If someone can send you one you could just buy a compatible sim and away you go.

Just an Idea!

Wink

Folk at my work have more modern phones than mine Ericsson A1801 (or summat - very rarely use it - don't even know the number )as spares particularly when they upgrade 'for free' every 12 months. There must be people around you who would free up space in a drawer for as little as a fiver ! - Just be careful with heavily used old phones 'cos the batteries go & they are painfully expensive so I'm told

Oh B**ger missed it,

Thanks for all the advice, I refuse to be ripped off by this Monopoly on PAYG prices.

I'll keep trying
