My God!
That is so impressive! Physics look a little false to me though.
But the graphics are incredible.
Are they supposed to be from the actual game or some kind of pre-rendered sequence or something?
thanks for the link Daz
Cheers

Its no pre-rendered sequence - those sequences are taken from the actual game.
I've always preferred my GPLs and CMR2 on the PC, but thats going to end with the release of this monster on the PS2. The physics, and graphics are phenominal. Add to that you can customise the cars mechanics too and you've got the finest driving game in the world period.

Well that is graphcally very impressive then.
Don't be too sure about the physics though...
If the physics in that clip are near to completion there are some fundamental problems with it. Some of it looks very iffy indeed.
Can't grumble at the graphics though, and if the physics are like GT2 then it will still be a damn good laugh to play.
Cheers

There's got to be SOME compromise Simon. If you were to simulate a car with a perfect physics model it would be far to hard to drive with a Sony controller!
By the way, you can link up 6 Playstation2's together for multi-player!
Here's some blurb on how they tackled it for this version...
To begin, representatives were asked their thoughts on the finished version. Specifically, how realistic their vehicles were reproduced in GT3. A Mitsubishi spokesperson said, "The sound of the exhaust and the handling of our cars are entirely realistic. They've also done an excellent job of differentiating the feeling between driving FF (Front-Foward), FR (Front-Rear), and 4WD (Four Wheel Drive) vehicles. In speaking with the developers, we learned they actually accounted for torque and center of gravity in their programming this time." A Nissan director added, "The handling of the Skyline GT-R was reproduced well. Most people will notice the graphic enhancements, but significant improvements have been made to the way vehicles handle, such as the force required to steer."
