sorry to be a downer on this wonderful BBS but I am in need of help or advice from both males and females about a relatrionship problem I have!!!

I have been seeing this Girl who live in Belfast for over a year and 1 week b4 my b'day she tells me she wants to take a "Step back"

What do I do ???? Do I fight for her like I want too or do I just go with what my mates say "Long distance Relationships never last"

btw - I live in Berkshire and we see eachother at least twice a month!!!

HELP!!!!! :-(

get round there and give her one up the pokey to say goodbye...she will let you just to get rid of you.

Hi, its Scooby_Loo, I forgot my password so I have used cell's account!

I had a long distance relationship with CELL to start with, I lived in Edinburgh and he lived in Sheffield. I now live in sheffield.

Fair enough, I saw him almost every weekend, but if it were twice a month I would want anything but a step back. Im only assuming here that it isnt that serious, although in long term relationships both parties can get even more emotionally involved (absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that) and feel like its going nowhere and it does get really frustrating. Maybe shes scared because she feels this way and she is also being told long term relationships are a waste of time?

I say talk to her about it face to face, theres a hundred and one reason as to what it could be.

Good Luck

Loo

Say goodbye. It's the only chance you'll have of getting her back.

Scooby_Loo has a good point...

it could be her m8s/family telling her that long distance relationships dont work - so ask her whats up and ask if shes doing it so she doesnt get hurt...

if ur not satisfied with the answer, then call it quits

steps back rarely work - just make it a drawn out break up

why dump her you can still see people where you live and talk to her plus the odd time you might be able to go and see her if you have nothing here no harm in having a spare hehehe

Long distance relationships are seriously HARD work. If you still have feelings for her try and remain "friends". Meet up every 4-6 months or so, not as a precursor to getting back together just to have a drink and a laugh about what you've been up to in the meantime.

Or alternatively [Astraboy mode] **** all her mates and phone her at 3am to dump her [/Astraboy mode]

If you truely love her fight for her. I would do the same. It could just be a case of friends/family telling her what to do. I've had relationships like that before and I always listened but not now, I do what I want now and **** everyone else!

I only see Kenny at weekends and it can be tough through the week but it makes it all more worthwhile at the weekend.

We all make mistakes in our life and I have made one recently but if something is worth saving then do everything you possibly can to make it work. It might feel strange/different being together for a while after this but I am sure you will work through it if you truely want to.

Red - She is just saying that she is hating life a lot at the moment and she needs time to work out what it is in her life that she needs to change.

I am just thinking that it may be just an way of letting me down easy!!!

I think you should act like you're not that bothered, say that you still respect her as a person and think its really important to stay "friends"
Then hook up with some local talent and take the odd trip over to belfast for a bit of "the other"
