Hello,

I am looking at VERY cheap webcams that can do still away from the PC.Must be USB (laptop is USB only)

Any comments on J@M Cam or the Kodak ones for under £100.

Its not for anyhting important/professional just messing about.

is the 300X??? resolution worth it or should I go all the way to 640x480 (whoooo)

Thanks,

Dave (tight wad)

Cool

I have just bought a LOGITECH usb webcam and it cost £60 from PCWORLD. For the money mate it aint too bad! Well worth the money for a prat around.

I have also found some good webcam chat sites, and some also not so good (that's unless you enjoy watching blokes fisting themselves to death!!!

Shaun.

Thumbs up

Dave,

i bought my parents a Kodak EZ200 for Crimbo (GBP80 from Software Warehouse/Jungle).

Standalone it shoots stills _and_ short AVI.

Works on normal (AA or AAA?) batteries.

Via USB it is also a realtime video camera (as well as fast picture downloads).

Cheap and cheerful, but my mum _loves_ it - resolution is plenty for web or fun use.
