Anyone know of any lenders who are prepared to lend more than 2.75 times joint salary?

I don't want much more - maybe 3 times joint salary, but just want to know those companies that do this sort of thing???

Anyone any experience?

Cool

Have just secured 4.5x from Abbey National through their Specialised lending dept (plus 1.5x on existing mortgage while we bridge). Admittedly we have 30% deposit and the mortgage is quite large. Applied through my normal IFA. Nationwide will also consider this sort of lending.

Hope this helps

John

OK, I'm with Nationwide, so will ask them.
My deposit will be 30% probably as well.

Were there any special conditions put on it?

Imlach,

Have a chat with a real good friend of mine. His name is Pete Bruce and he is a senior partner of The Bruce Colquhoun Partnership in Glasgow, you can get him on 0141 221 1100. He arranges mortgages, pensions, investmetns etc for a living and is very good at it. With the contacts he has in the industry he should be able to sort you out, plus you get straight talking with no salesman bullsh1t.

Tell him I sent you.

Nationwide were willing to lend us about 3.25 joint salaries.
