Should there be any wasps around at this time of year?
I found one in the house last night and i'm a bit worried where it came from.. hoping I don't have a nest going on in the house or something!?!?
Cheers

I found 2 queens (wasps ) in my loft a couple of weeks ago and killed them pretty sharpish!
They were just hanging onto the wooden beams (not together) and were very dozy when poked as I thought they were dead at first.
My road is lined with lime trees and wasps are a nightmare feeding on the sap from them in the summer.

Yep you may find queen wasps around as they will be hibernating through the winter, went in my loft to get the xmas tree out on the 21st decembber and saw a few flies so i thought i'll kill these, wouldnt belive what i ended up spraying a nest of thousands of cluster flies, needles to say straight out of the loft and sealed it up and taped round, had hundreds of flies in the house and a nice bill from enviromental health for getting rid of buggars

My office has a type of conservatory out side, opening with a patio sliding door. There was a wasp in there on Friday, I think he was pissed tho, he was flying round in a daze! I stayed in the warm because I couldn't be bothered to go out and finish him off

Don't think this one was a queen.. didn't look big enough.. I had spotted it the night before and just left the window open and hoped it would bugger off. This morning I was sat at the pc and the bloody thing landed on my head.. never moved so quick in my life. Think it must have been dying. When i caught it it didn't seem to have any energy...
