Why do they always do that ?

If you must insist on acting like Big Brother, why bother with the disclaimer ?.

I didn't personally see anything specifically offensive to the police. Is this a case of being hypersensitive ?. To do this puts them above criticism. If they come on to a forum to put a point of view, then both sides should have an opportunity to offer their side. I would have though a warning would have been the first option.

I totally agree and the fact that people have to take the law into their own hands just about says it all really. Why bother phoning the police as all they say is sorry we cant help you When I have had this response I say fine I'll deal with it myself then and they get all stressy saying you can't do that. Well if they won't help then sod just taking it on the chin and forgetting about it.
Is it surprising then that more and more people are becoming increasingly disheartened with the police and airing views that the police don't like.

Ash - so what does this mean?
I agree with Danbo and no Im not in the police. I do have a few cousins in the Police and I know what they have to go through. Its always easy to bitch at them without actually truly appreciating how they are restrained, both in terms of manpower and law/legislation. If people are so annoyed why dont they join the police force and help do something about it? A very easy answer I think you will find.
Loads of people on here bitch about being caught speeding. FFS you know exactly what the law is and u broke it. If I get caught I hold my hands up and admit I was wrong. The average bobby on the beat has no say in where a speed camera is put up or where he gets sent with his speed gun.
think that a good proportion of law enforement officers are self serving ***** who won't want the paperwork from a case

I said most not all, I work with some real ***** so the police force doesn't have a monopoly on them LOL. One of my best mates is a civvy in the police and he's of the opinion that a good proportion are on power trips (and abuse the sick pay scheme).
As for the paperwork, if the burden is too high, why doesn't their unions lobby for change, They are quick enough to come out when asking for more pay. I would think working conditions are just as important.
