Wifey had letter from solicitors regarding the reclaiming back of the policy excess after a no fault accident.

Thought ins comp would have done this rather than having to use her legal cover to recover this money. Is this the normal way of doing things.

Tesco's did the same with me. They use an external solicitors for doing stuff like this. So not unreasonable that other insurance co's would do the same...
