Question

Our 5 year old daughter has obviously got ideas about decorating the place and this afternoon proceeded to Tipp-Ex just about anything in sight - bannisters, plaster-cast statues, walls, posters, paintings, you name it - it got it.

Question is how to undo the damage. Any ideas on how to get Tipp-Ex off without ruining the paintwork on the statues (for example).

I knew she was too quiet for too long...

Lightbulb

The actual solvent for TippEx is dichloromethane.
Carbon Tetrachloride will also do the trick, but beware of too much on painted surfaces. Chloroform will also work.
You may be able to get hold of these at industrial cleaning suppliers. Try Yellow pages.

Thanks for the suggestions folks, I'll see if I can get hold of some of those products and try them.
