I'm considering buying this Geforce2 MX 32MB graphics card. Main use is for playing games(Half Life, Unreal etc..). It seems fairly cheap at £78 + VAT. Anybody use one in their PC? Is it any good?

Hi got a G Force 2 MX in my Athlon 1ghz kicks *** i play a few games etc and found it alot better than my voodoo 3 3000 and for the price you car'nt go wrong unless you are a die hard gamer and the G Force 2 ultra is the one for you but at a cost mines a Herculeas 3D prophet G Force 2 and i paid £110 just a month ago..

We've got these cards in some of our machines at the office. Very good and very smooth playing Unreal (on a P3 866 with 256MB RAM).

£78 + VAT is good a price as well.

Can only agree that the price/performance ratio cant be beaten

plus they are supposed to overclock well as well!

I've got a 64Mb geforce2 ultra which set me back about 305 plus VAT.

I've seen a 32MB prophet II which is similar to what yours is (roughly I think) and to be honest in terms of value for money I would go for it.

For what I paid for just a gfx card I could have had a small PC. then again Unreal on a 22" at 1600x1200 is quite nice also
