Question

I have a problem with the sound playback on my DVD (pc) everything was fine last week playing a DVD trailer I had and a hired copy of Gladiator (top movie but some Digital flaring on the DVD) this week I have upgraded my pc with a SDRAM 128MB pc100 (at £50 it was rude not to) and decided to do a reformat and re-install while I was on so re-install everything using original drivers when required ect go to play DVD and the picture is perfect but the sound has a static noise which comes and goes as if attached to the audio signal bugger I have downloaded all the latest drivers and no difference

Spec is

417MHZ PII MMX
256 mb 100HZ RAM
Voodoo 3000 o/clocked to 190Mhz ( with TVout running)
20 GB ide hd
Ricoh cdr/dvd Drive
Apocolipse 5D sound card

BTW I took the GFX card out to install the Ram but it went back in easily

I also put the sound card on slot (pci) further away from the GFX card as it get quite hot.

I only have the trailer DVD to try so could it be the DVD disk ? audio CDs play fine

Tal

Pissed off cos I enjoyed Gladitor so much and was going to get into this DVD lark

using windvd 2000 BTW

May be an excuse to upgrade the sound card to a Dolby 5.1 jobbie !!!!!!
