MSN messenger audio - help plse
#1
We can MSN "chat" (ie by typing) fine from our computer to other peeps, but when we try to "talk" (ie by microphone), we can hear the other person, but they can't hear us
We're at home on BT Internet, so no obvious firewalls anywhere. The MSN trouble shooter says try to telnet to ils.microsoft.com on ports 1720 or 1731. It then says:
"If you receive an error message, the port is not open"
We get the error message
Anyone know if BT have barred MSN talk...or have I gotta start looking in the dark depths of my machine to sort it out???

hmm.. problem might have been on my computer alll the time...
We couldn't record into Sound Recorder with the mic. - but I found a checkbox somewhere obscure that I 'checked' and now Sound Recorder recording works
...but I've got no friends on MSN at the moment to try it out with!
