Yesterday, Sainsburys Petrol Station - BIG Queue waiting in single line.

I arrive, do NOT want shop, only Petrol - need to turn across to the right into petrol station. Cars joining single queue building up ever longer, my **** stuck out into traffic.

Decide to cut across and alongside single queue - not wanting to jump the queue - BUT notice what the hold up is, a car waiting for the 'Perfect' pump to get to!! So, I spot 2 pumps empty and drive to the furthest one to fill up.

Owner of 'blocking'car has a fit and runs up to my car and bashes at the window shouting abuse about me jumping the queue!! NOW, technically he is correct BUT he was holding EVERYONE up because he wanted the right pump, in the right lane, on the right side!!!

Why dont people get it into their heads to join a queue at a row of pumps and allow the road behind to clear to other pump queues??!!

Anyway I got out the car, he backed off of course, and I politely told him that I am NOT about to wait for some fart who cant chose a pump queue and join it!! Was I wrong or right???

No-one else complained, but then again - who would argue with a 19 stone harrassed Middlesbro lad??

Just interested in your opinions???

Why dont people realise that you CAN fill your tank EVEN if the pump is on the 'wrong' side??

Nearly caused a punch-up!!!

Right.

I do something similair all the time.At my local Morrisons most people wait in a queue to use the right hand side pumps,most fillers are on the right.What i do is reverse into the pumps,usr the other side ones,fill up and drive out of the entrance.All in the opposite direction to everyone else.

I'd even queue jump my own mum if it meant getting away quicker...

I pick whichever pump is free no matter which side its on

as all hoses will reach your filler

A personal pet hate is people who park at the pumps without wanting to buy fuel. Even more annoying when park at one of the only 2 SUL pumps.

 

What would you do if your son's at home, crying all alone in the bedroom floor cause he's hungry?

 

I'd sleep with a man, it'd give me a little bit of money and then I'd be able to feed my son

 

Thats a relief then - most agree with what I did BUT this bloke was LIVID!!!! I am sure he would have smacked someone smaller!!

I even just got NUL as the SUL pumps were full!! Just to get bloody moving again!!

Its the people waiting for the 'Right' pump that knacker the rest up!
