So here we are heading in to a new year and what does our wonderful PM tell us except it's going to be bad news ahead.

Is it just me or don't you think that the PM should be a bit more positive, perhaps even giving a bit of a Rah-rah speech to motivate the country?
After all if he was an MD of a company and he did this his shareholders would want him removed for de-motivating the workforce.

I seem to remember him saying a few weeks ago he hadn't time for people who took a negative attidude and didn't see the positive side of things!

The guy is clearly out of his depth, can't we have him assassinated or something and put someone in place with a more positive and motivating attitude?

Yay! We're all going to die!!

Anyway in case it does turn out into a post acpocalyptic world like in Mad Max, I've got dibs on the Optimax refinery in Texas. I will rename myself similar to Master Blaster but to avoid copyright laws (if there are any by then), I'll call myself Master Baiter.

I prefer frank honesty to spin. People always moan no matter what he says

Company insolvency's up by 10% last year with the highest affected sector being IT with 30% of them going to the wall

Sainsburys selling off its DIY chain Homebase do they foresee a large recession or house price crash where nobody is doing home improvements

House prices going towards the edge of the plateau with a long drop on the other side as this year the rest of the country catches up with the southeast before the big slide happens nationally

Pre Xmass retail sales down on previous years

Low interest rates will finally come to an end

NI increase

when these factors and many many others are coupled with the record amount of consumer credit, the **** will really hit the fan

I haven't actually heard what the PM said but i gathered it was not good.

I just want to know if he (and his cohorts) are willing to accept the responsibility for the problems people will soon be facing?

Heseltine reckons it is a political trick:

Make things out to be really bad so that when things actually go quite well, you will be in a good position to 'take the credit'.

It all makes sense suddenly....
